!!!Quantum Group*The target of quantum physics group is to understand and realize the qubits (quantum binary digits), by which quantum computation is executed. Among a number of candidates for qubits, we are focusing on superconductor based qubits. We made a flux qubit coupled to a SQUID (superconducting quantum interference device), and we succeeded to observe the coherent exchange of a single energy quantum between a flux qubit and a superconducting LC circuit acting as a quantum harmonic oscillator.
